This allows cooler and denser air into the engine which eventually leads to more horsepower. Also, if your carburetor and fuel are hot, you may lose all the performance gains you get from a cold air induction system. Mr.Gasket Carburetor heat shields keep your fuel cool and eliminate fuel boiling and vapor lock caused by heat conducted from the manifold to the carburetor.
