Hyundai Veracruz Rear Brake Pad
About rear brake pad
Brake pads are an important part of your vehicle's brake system; they sit between your brake shoe (the part that clamps down, slowing the tires' rotation) and your brake drum. In the absence of working brake pads, other elements of your vehicle, such as the discs, rotors, and calipers would start to wear away.
What is the purpose of rear brake pad?
The purpose of a brake pad is to slow or stop the motion of a machine or vehicle (car, truck, train, motorcycle, etc). When the brakes would be hydraulically applied, then the caliper would squeeze the two pads together onto the spinning disc to slow or stop the vehicle or machine.
How rear brake pad works?
In a disc-braking system the automobile’s wheels would be attached to metal discs, or rotors, which spin along with the wheels. When you would step on the brake, the brake fluid from the master cylinder would create hydraulic pressure on one or more pistons in the brake caliper, which would force the pads against the rotor.
