Hyundai Accent Exhaust Manifold And Converter Assembly
About Exhaust Manifold And Converter Assembly
An exhaust manifold is a part of the engine. It collects exhaust gasses from the combustion chamber of the engine into the catalytic converter through several pipe outlets, which purifies these toxic gasses and transforms them into a muffler that helps to reduce the noise generated.
How Exhaust Manifold And Converter Assembly Works?
The exhaust manifold works simply. It is attached to the engine compartment or bolted and absorbs all the exhaust gases and passes through the exhaust pipes. These exhaust gases flow into the catalytic converted through the exhaust pipes through the header and finally into the silencer or muffler. Air-fuel mixture of both cylinders was stored by the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold is fitted with an oxygen sensor to detect the quantity and consistency of the mixture of air and fuel on completion of the cycle. It then transmits gases to the rest of the exhaust system.
Where is Exhaust Manifold And Converter Assembly Located?
It can be found conveniently on the engine, bolted directly on to the base of the engine.
