      HAWK PERFORMANCE

      Hawk Performance’s HP Plus brake pad is an excellent choice for Autocross and Track Day drivers, who are looking for great performance race compound that can withstand the heat of the track and still get the drivers home safely. HP Plus uses a different Ferro-Carbon friction compound that was made and manufactured only for Autocross, Solo, and Track Day applications. This material provides lower wear rates and higher torque values than other friction materials. HP Plus brake pads are the perfect upgrade over stock pads for high-performance street cars which are used in Autocross competition, or that are subjected to racing-style having wide and linear torque range. All Hawk Performance compounds are designed to work with Iron/Metal rotors and are not compatible with carbon-ceramic rotors.

      If these brakes were any better, they'd freeze time. On my '11 STi, they're overkill unless I'm pushing the limits on dry asphalt. They perform consistently, wet or cold, but these are essentially race brakes—they squeal. You'll hear a symphony of squeaks decelerating, and even with practice, it's hard to avoid. Your neighbors will notice, and other drivers might look at you in respect (or pity?). Your car will have a loud pedal and a louder pedal, and which is which might depend on your exhaust mods. I was fully aware of what I was getting into, can handle the noise, and love knowing that when I absolutely need to stop on a dime, these brakes have my back.

              I use these on my 2011 Subaru STI and they're just fantastic. The initial bite and control are top-notch. I've done a few track days and these pads hold up way better than others that I've tried and trashed in less than a day. No need to compromise—these are engineered to perfection. Had some doubts about daily driving with them, but not anymore. They offer the best braking experience I've ever had, a huge step up from the stock Brembo pads.
