                      My original idler pulley needed replacing after 17 years. I went with Gates, a brand I trust. The pulley I got was nylon/plastic with decent bearings, but there were no install directions. Despite having a zero offset, about a third of the serpentine belt didn't sit on the pulley properly. It works, but I've ordered another one from eBay to try. I'll give an update if the new one fits better. For now, this one gets a mediocre rating because of the fit issue.

                                  Gates has always been a favorite of mine. Back in the 60's when I was in high school and worked at a gas station, we only sold Gates fan belts—and we never cut corners. Even with all the gravel roads in Eastern Montana, Gates stood up to the test. Replacing this pulley and the tensioner pulley, I found both to be excellent quality, fitting just like the originals.
