              Worked a treat on the 5VZ-FE engine in my '04 Tacoma. I just wish it came with the semi-circular plugs. Apart from that, the gaskets are of very high quality, especially the head gaskets.

                      DIY Head Gasket Replacement Success!

                      Crossed off a major DIY achievement on my list! My 2001 Toyota Tacoma had smoke coming out after the thermostat failed, which led to a head gasket issue. Big takeaway: always replace your thermostat, it's a cheap fix that can save you tons. The Fel-Pro kit was my savior. After watching hours of YouTube tutorials, I dove in, nervous but prepared. It was a painstaking process, but with new tools, careful labeling, and patient disassembly, I did it! Not all parts in the kit were used, but the crucial ones fit perfectly. Two weekends later, my truck fired up smoke-free, leak-free, and even had improved gas mileage. All in, including the kit, new tools, and some additional parts, I spent about $620 CAD. This repair was a huge win for me, an older guy with minimal engine experience. Totally recommend this kit for any 2001 Tacoma owners out there!
