Quality Product - Holding up well

It's been a couple of months, and the EVAP error hasn't popped back up. Considering the low price, it's worth just swapping it out to see if it fixes the issue. My car has about 265,000 km and still had the original Purge Solenoid, which seemed to work on the bench but might've been hit-or-miss. Instead of dropping a ton of cash first, try out a new Gas Cap and then this Purge Solenoid. Even if you swap parts, you'll need to reset the ECM to clear the Check Engine light. The brand-new Gas Cap I got from the dealer didn't fit well, so make sure the Gas Fill entrance is clean and smooth for the cap to work. I'd suggest this type of Gas Cap over the dealer's. Clean or replace the sensor that detects fuel vapor when the Purge Solenoid is on. A Smoke Test doesn't always find the issue since it's not always a leak causing trouble. Start with these steps first. The solenoid makes a solid click, unlike the old one which was quiet and inconsistent. It passed the standard test with low-pressure air and 12V DC, but it turned out to be faulty after all. Update 04/10/22: I'm not sure about the sensor that should sense fuel vapor during activation. A significant RPM drop during the Purge Cycle can cause an EVAP Error. My car would stall at lights occasionally, but changing this part solved it. Years later, it's still working great.
