The part fit perfectly, and I had it installed in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it didn't resolve my problem, and it seems like it's not the part's fault—looks like the connecting rods might have stretched and aren't pulling properly. Just goes to show, you've got to be sure what the actual issue is before you go replacing parts.

                      Had to return one because the steel lever and plastic handle weren't playing nice together, causing jams. The second one was okay, so I popped it in. What a tough job though—it was just slightly too big, making it a real pain to fit into the tailgate. Once it was in, it looked good and worked well. Fingers crossed it lasts. No clue on its durability yet.
