Centric Posi Quiet semi-metallic brake pads are manufactured using positive molding process that uses extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This ensures consistent friction material density throughout the pad and offers even wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad. Centric Parts has recognized issues faced by the customers like noise and vibration and is constantly improving its products to eliminate the same. Posi Quiet brake pads feature either precision cut or shaved backing plates and mechanically attached shims. These minor details ensure proper fitment in the caliper and virtually eliminate noise associated with pad vibration. Additionally, Centric Posi Quiet brake pads undergo a scorching process that forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to accelerate the break-in process. All Posi Quiet brake pad friction formulations are asbestos-free and are available in three application-specific compounds.
Centric C-Tek Standard disc brake rotors are designed to meet QS and ISO quality system standards and also to meet original equipment specifications using OE production processes. Centric rotors are engineered using advanced metallurgy to help reduce squeal and are provided with an electrocoating finish that provides long-lasting corrosion protection.
