How Do Auto Parking Lamps & Lights Work?
The red lights will get automatically turned on in the rear light
clusters, along with the lights, so that it illuminates the rear number plate.
This happens when they are activated. If the car is static with the sidelights
turned on, then these lights act as the parking lights of your vehicle. These
codes have to be displayed when the vehicle is parked on the road or a lay-by
on a road where the speed limit is greater than 30 mph as per the highway code.
You can display the parking lights on one side of the vehicle in a few
models. This side is the one that is exposed to road traffic. If fixed, this
feature can usually be selected using the indicator stalk; where you can set
the indicators for the relevant side of the car and it will activate the
parking lights when the key is withdrawn from the ignition. In a few models,
this feature can be selected through a rotary side light switch, and it has
positions for the parking lights on either side.
How to Switch On Your Car's Auto Parking Lamps & Lights?

modern vehicles, the switch that is used to turn on and off the various lights
like turning indicators, glaring headlights, city lights, parking lights, and

the car. Usually when you turn the knob to the first set, it will switch on the
parking lights, and similarly, the second setting will turn on the car's
