2. Cruciform frame
- The cruciform frame is

Symptoms of Bad Car Frame

- Frame is visibly damaged
or dented - The most basic inspection of the car frame is a visual check for
any signs of damage to the frame, for example, any signs of rust, corrosion,
dents in the frame or the exterior. It is also important to check the bottom of
the frame for any problems or outward damage.
- The car alignment is off
- If the car is leaning
or pulling into one direction after an accident, it could be an indication that
the frame is bent. This issue may also be due to an alignment issue, but if
that has been checked and the problem continues, the frame might be the root of
this problem.
- Car makes unusual noises
- Bent or even slightly
damaged car frames become the cause of unusual sounds in the car, for example,
squeaking, creaking from some part of the car, whether the front or back or
side. If these noises are noticed, the frame should be checked by an auto body
shop immediately.
- You will notice an
uneven shock and suspension wear - If the shocks and suspensions are wearing out at different rates,
it might be an indication that the frame is bent. This is because the sides
where extra weight is transferred due to the bent frame will wear out
considerably more. Therefore, if any signs of uneven wear in shock and
suspension components is noticed, the frame should be inspected thoroughly.
- Tire wear is not uniform
- A bent frame can also
impact the suspension and alignment, which in turn can affect the tire wear. If
the tire wear in uneven, even after maintaining the tire rotations, it could be
due to a bent frame.
- Parts don’t fit properly
- A frame is the
structural base of the vehicle and all other parts are also attached to the
frame. The windows, doors, bolts and mounts may show signs of damage as a bent
frame may leave too little or too much space for them.
- Wheels don’t track
correctly - When a vehicle is being driven in a straight line, it should not
be angled to another side. If this is noticed, and the vehicle is moving
