The brake pads are effective once they're on. However, this is my second time with Bosch brake pads that needed filing to fit the caliper. They're a bit too large to fit with the provided hardware kit. Without the thin metal hardware, which is crucial for smooth operation, they fit inside the caliper housing but not when those pieces are attached. So, I had to file the backing plates until they fit properly, which is a lot of unnecessary work. I'm undecided if I'll buy these again.
