Symptoms Of A Failing Water Pump

Engine overheats: If your water pump fails, it can cause engine temperature to rise up. Water pump is responsible for pumping coolant through the radiator to keep the engine cool.

Coolant leak: If you see any coolant leaking on the floor or underneath the car, it is a clear sign of coolant leak which can also cause engine to overheat.

Growling noise: If the water pump is going bad or has failed, sometimes makes a growling noise due to failed internals.

Car heater not working: The car’s heater needs engine coolant to work properly. A low coolant level, caused by a leaking water pump, can result in an inoperative heater.
