How To Prepare Your Car For Summer
Step 1. Radiator check up
One of the biggest causes of summer breakdown is overheating. Intense summer heating can strain your cooling system, be sure to check your radiator and hoses for damage.
Step 2. Check your coolant
Coolant flows through the radiator to cool the engine components. Check your coolant level to make sure the engine doesn’t overheat, coolant should be flushed and changed every 2 years.
Step 3. Check your battery
Check to make sure the battery is not discharging fast, battery fluid can evaporate in the summer heat and internal parts can get damaged. Get the battery inspected in case of a leak.
Step 4. Inspect the tires
Excessive summer heat can cause changes in the tire pressure. Check your tire pressure & make sure you use summer or all season tires.
Step 5. Check your AC
Check your air conditioner, if the AC blows hot air, check your ac condenser. If the condenser is good, check for loose hoses or you simply might need AC recharge.
Step 6. Check your Oil
Most important of all, check the oil level and make sure the engine oil level is sufficient. It is recommended to get an oil change every 8000 Kilometers.
