    TUFF SUPPORT

    Tuff Support Lift Support is fabricated using high-quality seamless tubes. These tubes have been heat treated with phosphate before painting to make them resistant to corrosion. This will also help special-grade paint to stick strongly to the body of the gas spring. The rods are crafted on centerless grinding and polishing machines to enhance longevity. To obtain a smooth rod, centerless rollers are used.

    • To meet OEM specs, rod diameters are checked with lasers for flaws and changes in diameter
    • Rods are heated and nitrated to make them harder and protect them from rust
    • Internal parts like seals, washers, and o-rings are bought from manufacturers with TS16949 and ISO9001 certifications

                Installing these was a breeze - definitely recommend replacing both at the same time. I only did one on my Z3 initially and it didn't work as well since the other was pretty worn. Getting the notch out and back in is a bit fiddly, but all in all, it took less than 20 mniutes for both.

                        Fit well and performed well. They're quite stiff; you might get away with using just one of these. Did start to see some oil residue fairly quickly, though.

                                Snagged these for the deck lid of my '97 Z3. Installation was a bit fiddly at first but pretty straightforward. There's a noticeable improvement over the old ones — the lid pops right open after hitting the trunk button. They're still fresh and the car's tucked away for winter, so time will tell on tehir durability. So good thus far.
