Mr.Gasket MLS Multi-Layered Steel Head Gasket Set is designed with embossment formation that reduces the stress points and allows the gasket to conform properly for a uniform clamp load distribution. The head gaskets go through an additional process to reduce forming-induced stresses and this results in reduces brittleness, increased flexibility, and deformation retention. This further offers reduced cylinder bore distortion and improved combustion seal at extreme cylinder pressures in the case of supercharged and turbocharged engines. Provided with a proprietary polymer coating, Mr.Gasket Steel head gasket ensures micro sealing. An MLS head gasket usually requires a smoother (30Ra) surface finish compared to composite head gaskets. Mr.Gasket's proprietary polymer coating seals a surface finish twice as rough (60Ra) as a typical MLS head gasket. These gaskets are designed and perform great in high-performance street, drag race, and oval track use.
